"Moving to a new city is always stressful. But the fact that you have to leave behind your 'trusted friend' is even scarier. So when I arrived in Tauranga in June 2001 I was faced with finding my new 'friend' - wow what a dilemma.
Trying to find that one person who will look after your crowning glory is time consuming, so you can imagine my reflief when I spotted someone with a fabulous hairstyle across the restaurant from me. My partner thought I was daft, but I had to know where she had her hair done.
She was more than happy to tell me about the Salon by Design team, and the fantastic scottish lass Elaine.
My prayers were answered and Elaine and the team at Salon by Design have been absolutely fantastic in listening to what I wanted, offering wonderful advice and taking me outside the corporate comfort zone I arrived in Tauranga with. Colours are definately one of the Salon's specialities - reds being my favourites (even with a dash of blonde!). From short back to long nothing has ever been a problem.
